The Hookworm works the same as the Tarpworm, but the convenient hook means you can remove your tie-outs and simply hook them to the  a 3/32 shock cord loop on your tie-out points.  They work best with 3/32 shock cord and they have just the right amont of click to make sure they are secured, yet they are easy enough to put on and take off.  The hook can be opened up slightly to accept 1/8th shock cord.  Shock cord sold separately here.  Made by Dutchware and of course, Made in the USA.

These are not critical to have to make your tarp setup work, but once you have them, you wonder why they don't come as a standard feature on every hex or fortress style tarp sold. I went a little backwards with mine, tying shock cord to my tarp corners (triangle rings), then tying my guy lines to my triangle rings and my shock cord (so there was sufficient slack in the guy lines), and put my hookworms on the end of the guy lines. I hook them to the cords already on my stakes and cinch the lines tight so the shock cord is stretched out and the slack is taken up in the lines. That way, if the tarp sags or stretches (or we get wind/rain), the shock cords keep the tarp tight. Works great.

Great product. That Dutch guy is a genius.

Sweet piece of TI from Dutchware. I love them for my tarp doors and the options they provide for adjustments. So tiny you won't even notice you have them.
